2020년 12월, 저자는 코로나에 걸려 세균성 폐렴으로 2달을 병원에서 투병했다. 병실에서 마지막으로 성경을 읽는다는 각오로 요한계시록을 매일 통독하게 되었다. 그리고 병실에서 깨달은 요한계시록을 퇴원 후에 정리하여 책으로 발간하게 되었다. 이 책은 말세에 성도가 끝까지 믿음으로 붙잡아야 하는 분이 예수 그리스도임을 고백하는 책이다.
